The Story of Our Hidden Cottage

After 8 years of successful hosting of our vacation rental, The Lady Next Door, Andy and I are taking the leap and building our "dream" rental cottage and catering kitchen on our farm in Northwest Iowa.

We spent 3 years going back and forth on possible construction sites and designs for a rental cottage, and at the same time, we were working on providing safe and comfortable housing for Andy's mother on our grain farm. We finally decided on remodeling part of our house and in doing so, we discovered we could also create a commercial kitchen, which has been my dream for many years!

Since the construction on the project began, about a year ago, it has taken on a life of its own! We are excited to share what we are doing with you! Construction is nearly done, and I can't wait to show you!
